Math Input Questions and Answers
Input-type answers are answers with only one correct answer and no alternatives, yet the correct answer is not offered by a system - an user should calculate it independently and then insert the number into the answer panel.
You may choose the answer in the Answer Type menu. For Maths questions we use Math Input, and for English - English input. It is important to only use Math Input in Maths questions to avoid system failures and complications.
Every expression written between ### signs will receive a letter variable followed.
Imagine a sample question:
By default, the answer box interprets variables, including using the operators: * / + - ^ ().
So the answer 464 is accepted.
By default a/b should accept the answer 11/23 (22/46 in its lowest form) or it’s decimal representation. However in this case the decimal representation is 0.47826086956. The default accuracy is to accept answers that are accurate to >= 6 decimal places. This means that 0.478261, 0.4782609, 0.47826087, 0.478260870, 0.4782608696 must also be accepted.
For Math Input wrong answers explanation you can only use the General Explanation Template. The contents written in the General Explanation Template will be displayed every time a wrong answer is inputted.
